DENMAN part-owner Harry Findlay is now confident that last year's totesport Cheltenham Gold Cup winner will run a big race in defence of his crown.

Since landing the Festival blue riband 12 months ago the Paul Nicholls-trained nine-year-old has had well-documented problems. Following treatment for a fibrillating heart, Denman's lacklustre seasonal reappearance when 23 lengths behind Madison Du Berlais at Kempton put his defence in doubt.
