A BRITISH hiker missing since Tuesday on the slopes of Greece's tallest mountain, Mount Olympus, has returned safely.

Dozens of police, firefighters and volunteer rescuers had been searching the 2,917-metre mountain for Alexander MacDonald, 24, from Hertfordshire, after he failed to return from a 10-kilometre walk.
