INSOLVENCY specialist Begbies Traynor reported improved interim profits and is upbeat about its prospects as weak economic conditions continue to afflict the UK.

The firm, which has a Liverpool office in Old Hall Street, recorded revenues for the six months to October 31 of pounds 29.4m, compared with pounds 29.8m the previous year.
