STEVE JENNINGS admitted last night that the remarkable goalline clearance that saved Tranmere Rovers a point at Yeovil last Saturday could easily have been a spectacular own goal.

The young Tranmere midfielder managed to hook a goalbound header from Yeovil's Paul Terry against the underside of the bar when a goal looked certain. The ball rebounded down on the safe side of the line and Tranmere held on for a 2-2 draw.
