THE winning design for the Capital of Culture "Friend Ship" was unveiled yesterday. Liverpool designer Jo Pocock won over judges by creating a flat-pack "touchy-feely" ship that can be built and dismantled in less than half an hour.
The ship will "set sail" in February, visiting 40,000 children in every primary and special school in the city during Liverpool's Year of Faith in One City. The radicaldesign, which was revealed to children at Lister Drive Junior School in Liverpool was chosen by the Capitalof Culture team after a national hunt was launched in the autumn.
