Summary
ON SATURDAY afternoon,I decided to take full advantage of the good weather and drive up to Southport. But,on reaching the Formby bypass ,I discovered it had been closed for the day and all traffic was diverted via Ince Blundell. It took me 40 minutes to get one third of the way through this diversion bef ore I found a place where I could turn my car around and go home.
I later discovered the reason for the closure is work on the trees at the Little Crosby/Ince Blundell section of the A565. This went on all day Sunday and the road will be closed next weekend also.See the full content of this document
