THE hypocrisy of the Labour politicians who are organising a petition against giving the North Wales Police the funding they require is amazing.

The Labour Government in London has a funding formula that discriminates against rural areas. North Wales Police, for example, get pounds 27 per head less than the South Wales Police force. Anyone with a grain of common sense knows that the cost per head of providing services, police, education or health, in rural areas is higher than urban areas
