LIVERPOOL fans need to wake up to the fantastic opportunities presented by the Thailand Prime Minister's plan to invest in the club. As I understand it, theThais will take a 30% stake in the club for hard cash. You can proba bly multiply that sum by up to 10 in terms of the commercial opportunities it will create in the Far East. Manchester United have been cashing in on their Oriental support for years,and this move has the potential to take us into the same financial league as Chelsea and our neighbours at the far end of the East Lancashire Road.
All this without risking the stability of a very well run club - one of the very few in Europe that consistently operates at a profit.
