Summary
YOUR article "Brunstrom vindicated" (June16) showed that after three years of tar getting motorists with speed cameras, we are now 97% as likely to die in a traffic accident as before. I can't help thinking that this benefit is not worth the price we are paying for it.
It isn't that I'm against all speed cameras. In built up areas,anyone flashed by a big yellow box only has thems elf to blame,and even covert cameras are OK here if people get a bit of a margin. But this isn't half of what the police do,and overall the gain is not worth the pain.See the full content of this document
