LAST week, we asked: Should school prayers still be compulsory?'
Having the chance to sit and think without any marks or assessment is invaluable when you are growing up. I still remember some of my school assemblies, and think of them through my life. This is a special part of this country's education, and it should not be lost because we are becoming a multi-faith society. As long as the assemblies teach pupils to think about others and the world around them, I don't see why it needs to be religious.See the full content of this document
