I SEE Wirral Council has voted fo r yet more car parking charges following a round of 13% increases recently. This time, we are told, it is to bring satellite areas like West Kirby in line with Birkenhead.

Is raising such charges and closing libraries the only unimaginative way this authority can find to balance the books?
