Summary
I'VE just been watching BBC 4's Liverpool on the Box series. No prizes for guessing why no investor would touch the city with a barge pole for the best part of three decades after seeing it.
The depressingly awful array of slums, scallies, dole fiddlers et al makes it look about as enticing as a fortnight in Chernobyl. The procession of rent-a-gob hacks does it no favours, either. These people have done very nicely, thank you, while the image they portray condemns the people they're supposed to empathise with to a life on the Bread line.See the full content of this document
