THE policy of free access to our national museums in Wales and throughout the UK is not only one of the most popular of Labour's policies, but also one of the best as it spreads the enjoyment and educational benefits of these world class collections to everyone without fear of cost.

Hard-working families and pensioners and many others no longer have to worry about the cost of visits, and the subsequent rise in attendance at museums and galleries has been fantastic to see.
