Summary
IT is to be hoped that all who have benefited from the care by Alaw ward at Ysbyty Gwynedd will rightly oppose any cutbacks in the excellent service it provides.
Alaw is a jewel in the NHS crown, which the Trust should be trying to emulate in other departments rather than suggesting cost cutting review/cutbacks - or is this a ploy in obfuscation? If they "bow to public pressure" to leave Alaw as it is, will we then accept without fuss the previously planned cutbacks in other essential areas? We all accept that there is a financial shortfall, but, if there is to be pruning it should be from the top, from the overgrowth of non-productive personnel and from the weak branches of poor management - not from the grass root level of nursing care.See the full content of this document
