Summary

MARAAHEL bids for a record fourth victory in a row in the Grant Thornton Huxley Stakes on day two of Chester's May meeting.

If successful the Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum-owned seven-year-old would top the pounds 1million in prize-money earned during his career. Victory would add pounds 34,062 to his pounds 990,935 earnings from eight victories in 30 starts, while second place and the pounds 12,912 prize would also see him break through the pounds 1m barrier. But connections feel that this afternoon's contest could be his toughest to win since he first scored in the 1m2 1/2 f Group Three contest in 2005.
