METROPOLITAN Police Commissioner Sir Ian Blair was facing tough questions last night over his force's handling of the case of a young father shot dead after standing up to a group of youths who were allegedly terrorising his neighbourhood.

The family of 22-year-old Peter Wood-hams are angry over the way Sir Ian's officers responded when Mr Woodhams was stabbed in the neck by a group of youths earlier this year on the same spot as the confrontation which preceded his murder.
