Summary
TORY leader in the Assembly Nick Bourne claimed at the weekend that Labour and Plaid Cymru "don't understand the north". I fear that none of the political parties in the Assembly truly understands the north of Wales and furthermore that the feeling is mutual. Not many people in North Wales seem to know who the candidates are for the forthcoming Labour leadership elections.
Even more scarily, I know of some intelligent people this side of the border who weren't aware that Rhodri Morgan was stepping down and Wales would shortly have a new First Minister.
