HEAVY RAIN failed to deter Royal Welsh visitors yesterday.

By mid afternoon 65,132 showgoers had poured through Llanwelwedd's gates. The figure was 3,000 down on last year's record- breaking Wednesday, when the show recorded its highest ever one-day attendance - but was some 3,500 up on the five-year average.
