BREAST cancer patients have been given fresh hope with a new treatment for the disease which is being pioneered in Wirral.

Doctors at Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology are the first in the UK to trial the new approach, which it is hoped will have a psychological and physical effect on patients across the country. The treatment reduces the time of medical care from six weeks to as little as fivedays.
