IT IS a desperate disappointment for the city of Chester to see its long-anticipated pounds 460m Northgate regeneration scheme effectively kicked into the long grass, as the latest in a long line of victims of the credit crunch.
The scheme is of huge significance for the future of the city, and yesterday's announcement that work on the project cannot now begin until 2012 at the earliest was quite understandably being described by Chester Business Club Secretary Bob Clough Parker as a "tremendous hammer blow".See the full content of this document
