THE HOME Office has said it will take on board the recommendations of Liverpool's coroner after an inquest ruled that a prisoner died because the seriousness of his condition was not recognised.

John Carmody, 39, from Croxteth, died from a ruptured ulcer leading to peritonitis while in the prison's health care centre.
