Summary
One of our employees is actively involved in supporting a local candidate in the upcoming general election. He has started 'electioneering' in the workplace which is now starting to cause some disruption. Can we ban him from doing this and if he refuses can we take disciplinary action against him? Generally it will be entirely for you the employer to decide whether your employee should be allowed to promote a political party or a candidate in the workplace.
