LES PARRY rued the 'massive' penalty decision which condemned Tranmere Rovers to a 1-0 home defeat to Notts County last night.

Full-back Zoumana Bakayogo was adjudged by referee Peter Quinn to have fouled Jon Harley in the penalty area just before half-time. It looked a harsh call but Craig Westcarr gleefully blasted home the resulting spot-kick to end his team's run of nine consecutive defeats. Rovers manager Parry said: "Zoum said it wasn't a penalty. The lad's just got in front of him and slipped. That's how it looked from where I was. It was a massive decision.
