THEATRE: The Mayor of Zalamea by 17th century Spanish writer Pedro Calderon de la Barca is a stunning debut by the new Everyman/ Playhouse director Gemma Bodinetz. Michael Byrne is very moving as the Mayor in question who finds soldiers billeted on his home and worries about his attractive daughter. The Everyman foyer now boasts settees and the new sound system is superb. Best of all,all seats on a Monday are a fiver.Tonight, 7.45pm, Liverpool Everyman.
