LIVERPOOL'S John McCole and Mark Keeley were second and fourth in the Liverpool 10k, which was won by Altrincham international Andy Norman. Norman recorded 31.10, McCole 32.20 and Keeley 32.59.

Bernie Murphy, who has switched from Liverpool to LPS, was first veteran home in fifth place, club-mate Graeme Cairnes taking the over-50 award. SouthportWaterloo's Richard Shearer, another ex- Liverpool runner, finished in sixth place.
