It's 30 years since Suzuki launched the first Alto car - and the seventh-generation Alto, now on sale at Britain's 142 dealers, is one of the greenest petrol city cars around. Priced from just pounds 6,795, the 996cc, three-cylinder Alto produces emissions of only 103g/km, and has a combined-cycle fuel economy of 64.2 mpg.
