WHAT a first class mess. The last thing the Royal Mail needs right now is a strike by postal workers which will be a disaster for the company. The Royal Mail is a much-loved British institution. Nobody wishes to see it collapse and few would like to see it broken up - although that is the intention of the European Commission which seeks to end postal monopolies throughout the EU.
