DAVID JUNIOR has progressed with each run this campaign and his trainer Brian Meehan expects him to do so again in the Petros Rose Of Lancaster Stakes, the feature contest at Haydock Park this afternoon.
Initially the three-year-old colt was unplaced in the 2,000 Guineas on his seasonal appearance. But he then completed two impressive Listed victories over 1m2f, before being returned to the higher grade and dropped in trip for the onemile Sussex Stakes at Glorious Goodwood. While his Listed wins were by eight and five lengths respectively, the son of Pleasant Tap's Group One return was arguably more impressive despite another defeat.
