Summary
BLACKPOOL Council is reportedly to clamp down on those rogue landlords who deliberately break the law over safety issues.
In particular they are after landlords who do not supply any fire safety equipment (e.g. smoke detectors), into occupied rented properties. However, a Private Members Bill is currently going through Parliament, where it is supported by 56 other MPs, to make it compulsory for landlords to install a fire alarm into a property at the beginning of a tenancy period.See the full content of this document
