ARCHAEOLOGISTS said yesterday that they have uncovered the remains of a Roman lead smelting site in a peat bog in mid Wales.
The mines in Cors Fochno, or Borth Bog, near Aberystwyth were thought to supply the metal for production 2,000 years ago.See the full content of this document
