THE chances of car production resuming at MG Rover looked bleak last night after administrators to the collapsed company said they were running out of time to achieve a rescue deal.

PricewaterhouseCoopers said about 630 interested parties had contacted them since the Longbridge-based carmaker collapsed but only nine of these had convinced PwC they had enough funds and just three stood any chance of succeeding.
