ENGLAND were beaten 24-19 in the semi-finals of the Rugby World Cup Sevens by eventual winners Fiji - but it took a sudden-death try by Waisale Serevi to knock them out.

England took the game into extra-time with a late try from captain Simon Amor but they could have won a place in the final if Ben Gollings had not missed the conversion.
