Summary
WATERLOO coach Phil Winstanley comes head to head with his old Sale Sharks' team-mate Dave Baldwin this afternoon when he turns his side out to face Manchester at Grove Park in the fourth round of the Powergen Trophy"While we wouldn't mind a good run in this competition," Phil Winstanley explained. "I would still prefer the points for a win over them in the league in a week's time. But it is going to be a tense battle today and one that provides extra spice for me because Dave and I were clubmates for over six years at Sale and played together in the Pilkington Cup final at Twickenham when we lost 9-3 to Leicester Tigers in 1997.
"Since we finished playing we have been in constant contact with each other and since Dave has been director of rugby at Manchester we have constantly exchanged videos and information about opposition. This week there has been no contact, as you can guess, but at the end of the game we will no doubt share a pint with me probably doing the buying - he's from Yorkshire you know."See the full content of this document
