Schools Slipping

Summary


THE UK has slipped down the international education league tables after the number of pupils leaving school with basic qualifications failed to improve, a major study found yesterday.

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development warned that the social divide between people with five good GCSEs and those without had widened alarmingly in Britain.
