I AMwriting in response to your article of April 7 about the opening of the North West's first heart screening centre. The article highlights how devastating the condition of sudden cardiac death can be.
However, although balanced and fair, it did not acknowledge the very real challenges the UK National Screening Committee faces in considering whether screening could effectively prevent deaths without causing unnecessary anxiety in large numbers of young people.See the full content of this document
