A FORMBY councillor has called for more police officers for the wealthy town to protect the millionaires who he believes are "sitting ducks" for thieves.

Alf Doran, Conservative councillor for the Harrington ward, where Steven Gerrard's mansion is located, said the town was being targeted by a "criminal element" who had been attracted to the area by the number of multimillion-pound properties and high-value cars.
