SMALL firms in a business centre in north east Wales face a substantial hike in rent in what one business is calling "Draconian" changes to the tenancies. Flintshire County Council is writing to all 39 companies located at Greenfield Business Centre, Holywell, setting out new terms.

It says the move is necessary because rents at the centre - which has workshops and offices for start-ups and growing, small firms - have fallen way behind the market rate.
