THE awful truth dawned on Ian Fisher when he decided to revive his rowing career after studying law at university. "I can remember the exact day. It was Boxing Day 1968 and I entered a scratch event. I hadn't realised how unfit I was after leaving university. The strain nearly killed me," says Ian.
