Summary
PARAMEDICS have responded to over 1,000 more life-threatening calls this month because of treacherous weather conditions. A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said: "Between December 1 and December 20 2009, we attended 17,681 life threatening calls, in the same period this year the Trust reached 18,821.
"A&E and 999 are emergency services that should only be used when people are badly injured or show the symptoms of critical illness. Choosing well ensures that essential treatment is given, in the shortest possible time."See the full content of this document
