THAI Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra could be impeached for breaking his country's constitution by bidding for a chunk of Liverpool FC,according to sources in Bangkok.

Jula Thes,an expert on Thai law and the constitution, claimed the PM could be banned from public office for five years because it was illegal for him to engage in "any act which,by nature, amounts to the administration of management of shares or affairs" of a partnership or company Writing in a Bangkok newspaper,Jula Thes said: "Whether or not Thaksin is successful in his bid he has clearly violated the intent of the constitution which is to keep cabinet officials and other senior officials from benefiting from their offices."
