THE Leveson Inquiry has made me appreciate good journalism. Whatever form the Daily Post takes next, its integrity and commitment to local issues is needed and valued.
In 1908, Mary Baker Eddy founded The Christian Science Monitor, which has since gained an international reputation as a newspaper of repute (it's quoted on the BBC news from time to time). Mrs Eddy had suffered from untruthful sensationalism at the hands of the "yellow press" and wanted a newspaper which would be principled and accurate.
