Summary
I I'M convinced that there are less people around this summer. I don't have any hard evidence, but indicators such as traffic flow, queuing time at the local chippy, seasonal job vacancies and general chatting consensus tells me the tourism sector may be taking the brunt of the credit crunch and poor weather.
Just like those MORI polls, I hope my indicators are completely wrong. Tourism plays such a major part in our rural economies, especially for farming families.See the full content of this document
