OBJECTORS to a new tolled bridge over the River Mersey have been told to "take a general assurance" that a residents' discount scheme will be i n t r oduced.

After questioning at yesterday's public inquiry into the Mersey Gateway Project, Inspector Alan Gray asked for further information on the proposed tolling regime.
