HALF of Welsh parents of four to 18-year-olds are saying no to after-school activities such as sport, music and catch-up clubs because they can't afford it.

A new online YouGov poll for Save the Children found sport was the most popular pastime with half (50%) of Welsh parents of 4-18- year-olds saying their child did some form of sporting activity; drama/dance (26%), music lessons (13%) and Brownies/Scouts (18%) were also popular choices.
