RECORDS tumbled at the Royal Welsh Winter Fair with visitors left stunned when the champion lamb pairs were sold for pounds 3,400 each, the highest price ever paid for sheep at the event.

Welsh Country Foods on Anglesey bought the Beltex x lambs on behalf of Asda from noted breeders Michael and Heulwen Owens of Pontsian, Llandysul, Ceredigion.
