MOTORISTS will face weeks of driving hell as yet more road works have been scheduled for a blighted stretch of the A55.

A 40mph speed limit will be imposed on both carriageways between junctions 28 and 30 at Rhuallt Hill, St Asaph, as transport chiefs carry out work to replace the central reservation and upgrade road markings and signage. Work will begin from next Monday, February 21 - which coincides with the start of schools' half-term break - and is expected to last for at least four weeks The news has been met with a mixture of fury and exasperation from motorists and politicians, as only last the week the Daily Post reported that the region's main arterial route was free from roadworks for just 51 days last year.
