PLANS for Alder Hey's pounds 300m redevelopment were opposed by vets who claim its construction will distress the animals in their care.
Alder Veterinary Hospital, in Eaton Road, West Derby, also said it also feared plans for a multi-storey car park overlooking its base would give a vantage point for thieves who might want to target the building. A planning committee report to go before Liverpool councillors today said the vets' surgery objected on the grounds the "blue light" and service road would increase the amount of traffic heard in the building, which would affect animals.See the full content of this document
