VICS broke a 105-year-old club record by registering their 13th successive league and cup victory at Worksop last night to stay five points clear of Nuneaton and Stafford at the top of Nationwide Conference North . With Mark Sale deputising for injured leading marksman Paul Brayson, Northwich took some time to find their feet and lively Worksop went ahead with a headed goal by Dave Oldham after 26 minutes Vics were level 11 minutes later when Jonny Allan notched his 12th goal, running smartly onto Jon McCarthy's through pass.

Northwich got well top as the Notts side faded after the break and it was one-way traffic with Mike Carr and Allan both going close before Peter Handyside grabbed the winner on 58 minutes.
