RATES of deadly skin cancer are set to treble in the next 30 years if current trends in reckless sunbathing are not reversed. This is the view of skin cancer expers who predict that children could be three times more likely than their grandparents to develop malignant melanoma, the most deadly form of skin cancer, as the sun- worshipping culture shows no signs of abating.
Anthony Sullivan, a Macmillan skin cancer nurse specialist, is part of the Macmillan Cancer Relief campaign to raise awareness about the sun's dangers.
