Summary
ICAN hardly believe that a whole year has passed since I wrote my first column and, if my medical and non-medical musings have been even half as enjoyable for you to read as they have been for me to write, then I can sleep easy at night. This time a year ago, we were in the grip of a not-so-glorious summer and I was praising the nerves of steel of the organisers of the National Eisteddfod. As the Eisteddfod is in Bala this year, I'm sure you all know that this week is show time again and, although I don't have my crystal ball handy to predict the weather, I can say with complete confidence that it's going to be another sensational week.
As you're enjoying everything the Eisteddfod has to offer, spare a thought for the months of preparation involved, the sleepless nights of the organisers, and the hundreds of volunteers working at the event itself to make sure we all have a great time. Being a medical man, the volunteers that always particularly catch my eye are the first aiders; the quiet guardian angels looking out for our health as we dance merrily by.See the full content of this document
